   Tuesday through Saturday you will find some of the artists studios open …but not all … some of them have real jobs. Generally more are open on Saturdays … and more on 1st Saturdays each month.  

The following list of artists have studios in the CFAC. Several artists have web sites and email contact. Please check out their work and visit sites. Contact artists for specific times they are open or to arrange a time to visit with them.

Jeremy and Millicent Clayworks
        Jeremy and Millicent Clayworks is a husband and wife team and they make pottery, sculpture, and art tiles. All of their work is hand made and hand decorated. Jeremy specializes in wheel thrown pottery and Millicent specializes in hand built ceramic masks and sculpture.They also make a large amount of collaborative tableware that Jeremy forms one at a time on the potter's wheel and Millicent paints one at a time in a vivid and colorful style.Jeremy fires all of their work to over 2000 degrees F in pottery kilns located in their studio.They make a wide variety of ceramic objects such as wine goblets, tumblers, bowls, plates, platters, jars, vases, wall hanging masks and sculpture, and pendants.They also make coffee tables, wall hangings, and signs made with ceramic art tiles produced right in their studio.Jeremy and Millicent are high school sweethearts that have always had a dream of making and selling their own artwork and they have been working in clay for over 10 years.Their studio is open Tuesday through Saturday 10AM-5PM (closed on Sunday and Monday)

Tony Dosiek

Tony has 25 years experience manipulating light gage metal into any shape or form. Nature is a great asset in his designs combined with knowledge from the construction industry, AutoCAD drafting, commercial roofing and detailed residential projects and sign fabrication.  Currently, Tony has set his sights on the interior design industry specializing in creating innovative lighting.

Linda Gosset

 Linda has been a resident and studio artist at the Chicken Farm since 2007. She has wholesaled work to Neiman Marcus and other boutique galleries. She also works with assemblage and fabric collages.  Her ceramic work is mostly functional with a focus on surface design.  Bright colorful wild designs best descibe Linda's work.  Linda works predominantly with clay.

Michelle Cuevas

Michelle works for Roger where she air brushes, hand paints, and glazes, plates.  she is available for lessons and paints portraits in pastels, acrylics, and oil.

Gary Norman

Batik wall hangings

Originally an advertising art director, Gary is represented by St. Charles Art Gallery in Rockport, Texas and in the Realto Art Center in Aransas Pass, Texas. Inspired by the tropical atmosphere of South America, he uses a process of dyes on fabric with a hot wax resist.  Vibrant, textured abstracts with multicolored richness best describes his work.

studied at Hong Kong Technical Institute in Graphic Design. Upon graduation she worked as graphic designer and art coordinator for eight years. She is currently a graphic freelance artist and part-time art instructor.

Joe Morgan

Joe has been coming to the Chicken Farm Art Center for many years.  As an expert welder, he was instrumental in helping Roger and Jeremy build the big kiln for our big pot.  His work has been in the Gecko Gallery, and his students' work has been displayed here during ceramic weekend. Joe likes to make amphora's, horse hair pots, fish, and whistlers.

Mejo Okon was selected as one of 21 artists by Southwest Art magazine for their "21 Over 31 - You need to Know: Annual Emerging Artists Search Part II". The contest was open to artists in the U.S. and abroad. Winners were published in the November 2009 issue and on their website. Her painting "Mertzon Ranch Rodeo" was showcased in the article.She was awarded with an Honorable Mention for her oil painting "The Brahma-Charollais" in The Seven-State Biennial Competition (Artists residing in Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas) sponsored by the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. They also purchased her piece for their Permanent Collection. The exhibition runs now through November 27th in the USAO Art Gallery. The show then travels to the Charles B. Goddard Center in Ardmore, Oklahoma and will be on display until January 30, 2010.In 2008 she was named "Artist of the Year" by the San Angelo Art Club. She is also member of the Colored Pencil Society of America. A graduate of Heron School of Art at Indiana University in Indiana, Mejo has worked as a graphic designer and as a NBC courtroom sketch artist before devoting herself to painting full time. Her work has been published in Society of Illustrators: Illustrators 18 and 200 Years of American Illustration. Her work is in private collections in the USA and Mexico.

Janet Moran is an established fiber artist and teacher.  She has won acclaim for her prize winning fiber art.  She teaches classes and workshops in local, national and international venues.  Also, a glass artist, she works with a torch and soft glass, creating art in the form of beads and small sculpture. She creates her art in the hope of bringing pleasure to those who view it.
